Gateway

Gateway Definition:

This is a major airport, terminal, or port that works as a cargo shipping and distribution hub.

These are majorly designated points where cargo or shipment moving from one location or region to another is interchanged between shipping lines. It holds an intermodal function and a core point of entry or exit for cargo in a specific territory that links the transporting network between countries and continents. Gateways streamline the supply chain operations, help lower shipping costs, and enhance efficiency. Gateways are also equipped with modern technology and infrastructure. These features make them excellent for handling large volumes of containers and other international and local-level shipments.
